Sheriff's Office Staff had a Great Turnout for Special Olympics Polar Plunge

Today was the Polar Plunge fundraiser for Special Olympics at Cove Lake. I am very proud of the turnout for this event for our staff! The Detention Division even had their own shirts made for this event.
It was 39 degrees and windy outside and the water was so cold but our team jumped right in. At the Sheriff's Office, we encourage our staff to participate in community events and fundraising with our two main fundraising groups - Special Olympics (Polar Plunge and Torch Run) and Shop with a Cop (Haunted Hayride and lunch fundraisers).
