Logan County Area Law Enforcement Banquet

Last night, we gathered for the Logan County Area Law Enforcement Banquet with the Booneville and Paris Police Departments. This is the third year for this annual event and it was held at the First Baptist Church Family Life Center in Booneville (we alternate the event every year between Booneville and Paris). We gathered for a great meal, fellowship with our fellow law enforcement agencies, and to hand out our agency awards. The Sheriff's Office handed out the following awards:
2023 Deputy of the Year: Inv. Howard Bates
2023 Detention Officer of the Year: Sgt. Kenny Alexander
2023 Employee of the Year: Dispatch Supervisor Marlena Hyatt
2023 Part-Time Deputy of the Year: Deputy Jim Elkins
2023 Citizenship Award: Tobi Miller, Director of the Logan County Office of Emergency Management.
We thank State Representative Jon Eubanks and State Senator Gary Stubblefield for providing the food and for their dedication to law enforcement at the State Capitol. We also thank the First Baptist Church of Booneville for the use of their building and Worship Pastor Brad Smith for his assistance with the event. We also thank the Booneville Junior High Beta Club for serving the meals and Missy Denton for the awesome desserts.
