On September 28, 2023, at 10:00 a.m., Logan County Circuit Clerk April Hice will auction an approximately 2-acre piece of property at the front door of the Logan County Courthouse in Paris (the door on the Walnut Street side of the courthouse - south side). The property is located at 4572 West State Highway 22 in the Carbon City area and once belonged to Jimmy Fore before it was seized by the Logan County Sheriff's Office pursuant to drug charges.

 

The legal description is as follows: "Beginning at the SE corner of the SW ¼ of the SW ¼ of Section 5, Township 7 North, Range 26 West, thence West 210 feet, thence North 420 feet, thence East 210 feet, thence South 420 feet to the place of beginning, being a part of the SW ¼ of the SW ¼ of Section 5, Township 7 North, Range 26 West."

 

The terms of the sale shall be cash or on a credit of 90 days with approved bond.

 

Reminder: The auction will take place at the Courthouse, not at the property.
