Please welcome Investigator Jared Petz to the Logan County Sheriff's Office.  He is hired as a full-time criminal investigator in our Criminal Investigation Division.  Investigator Petz worked eight years at the Paris Police Department and served as their lieutenant.  Investigator Petz brings much experience to the Sheriff's Office and will be training with Lt. Kieth Lunsford and Narcotics Investigator Howard Bates.  He will also attend training classes this year on crime scene photography, crime scene processing, and interviews and interrogations.  Investigator Petz replaces former Investigator Albert Brown who took a state law enforcement position with the Arkansas Highway Police.  Albert served with distinction and will be missed but as an agency, we are glad to see our employees move up positions like that.
