05/19/2023

On May 5, 2023, the Logan County Sheriff's Office, with the assistance of the Paris Police Department, executed a probable cause search warrant at a residence on North Express Street in Paris. The warrant was based on an investigation by Narcotics Investigator Howard Bates for the sale of methamphetamine by Milton Brown, 44, who also had two felony warrants. One felony warrant was out of the Paris Police Department for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and the other felony warrant was for a Petition to Revoke Probation out of Logan County.  As we executed the warrant, Milton was found at the house and was arrested.  Drug paraphernalia was found in the house and was seized.  A glass pipe was field-tested and which showed a positive presumptive reaction as methamphetamine residue. Milton was transported to the Logan County Detention Center and is being held on the two warrants and for the anticipated charge of felony Possession of Drug Paraphernalia for the item found at the scene. The Sheriff's Office is also pursuing another warrant for Milton for delivery of methamphetamine based on the investigation.
