Drug Bust in New Blaine

On September 27th, the Logan County Sheriff's Office executed a search warrant on a house on Silver Creek Road in New Blaine in eastern Logan County with the assistance of Probation and Parole officers. The search warrant was based on an investigation started by Narcotics Investigator Howard Bates on the residents of the house for selling methamphetamine. Upon execution of the warrant, we found crystal substances that appeared to be methamphetamine, digital scales, plastic baggies, and glass smoking pipes. We also found numerous firearms that were in close proximity to the methamphetamine. All of this was seized and transported to the Logan County Sheriff's Office. The crystal substances were field-tested and showed a presumptive positive for methamphetamine. The crystal substances will be sent to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory for confirmation testing.
Janice Needham, 55, who lives at the residence, was arrested and transported to the Logan County Detention Center and booked in on the anticipated charges of Possession of Methamphetamine with Purpose to Deliver, Simultaneous Possession of Drugs and Firearms, and felony Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. We are filing for arrest affidavits on others who are involved.
