Drug Bust in Northern Logan County

05/06/2022

Recently, Logan County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Investigator Howard Bates and Arkansas State Police conducted a search pursuant to a parole/probation in-home compliance check at a house in Northern Logan County. This is a home that Investigator Bates started an investigation on due to drug activity. They found four plastic baggies containing a crystal substance that appeared to be methamphetamine at the house, another plastic bag containing a crystal substance that appeared to be methamphetamine in a vehicle, and drug paraphernalia items such as digital scales and a box of plastic baggies. The total weight for the suspected methamphetamine is 4.12 ounces and they found $1,900.00 in cash. The cash was seized by the Drug Task Force for forfeiture and the drugs were seized by the Sheriff's Office and will be sent to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory. Several subjects were taken into custody and we are preparing arrest warrants for them and others involved. Other outside agencies are now involved and the investigation continues so names will be released at a later date.
