03/02/2022

On February 25, 2022, Logan County Sheriff's Office investigators and deputies and Arkansas Probation/Parole officers conducted an in-home compliance check on Cathy Wewer, 50, who resides at a home on Rock Quarry Road near Caulksville in northwestern Logan County.  Cathy was present along with Don Carlson, 53, of Ozark.  During a search of the home, they found a plastic bag and a large zipper case hidden in a vent.  In the large black zipper bag, they found four (4) plastic bags containing a crystal substance suspected to be methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia suspected in the use of methamphetamine, approximately $1,250.00 in cash, digital scales, plastic packing bags, and drug paraphernalia suspected in the use of marijuana.  There was also a small tin container that contained miscellaneous pills that were identified as Clonazapam, Diazepam, and Oxycodone.  They also located a smaller zip pouch hidden inside another vent in a different part of the house and they found suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia in that pouch.

The suspected methamphetamines and marijuana were field-tested and showed a positive presumptive reaction as methamphetamine and THC.  All contraband was seized by the Logan County investigators and will be sent to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory for testing.  Both subjects were placed under arrest and transported to the Logan County Detention Center.  Wewer was booked into our jail on the presumptive charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance with Purpose to Deliver (x3), Possession of Methamphetamines with Purpose to Deliver, Maintaining a Drug Premises, felony Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia with Purpose to Manufacture.  Colson was booked into our jail on the presumptive charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance with Purpose to Deliver, felony Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
