We had a very successful year with the Shop with a Cop program in Logan County! The effort to raise funds started with the Booneville Police Department and their many fundraisers for the Booneville School kids. The Logan County Deputy Sheriffs' Association and the Detention Staff raised money for the kids in the school districts in Northern Logan County through fundraisers such as the Haunted Hayride and in soliciting donations. Logan County Sheriff's Office Sgt. Jay Crosby led an effort to raise money for the Magazine School kids with donations by Albert and Aimee Littleton, the Do-Drop in Magazine, the Magazine Tire Shop, True Value Hardware in Magazine, the Bolyard family, and Blue Line Overland. The Deputy Sheriffs' Association contributed money and we had three deputies go to the Clarksville Shop with a Cop since kids from the Scranton School District were involved. We had the Grinch show up at the Paris Walmart during our Shop with a Cop program and we had to arrest him for taking a gift. The kids really enjoyed that skit!
