2026 Logan County Area Law Enforcement Banquet

Last night, we had our annual Logan County Area Law Enforcement Banquet where the Booneville and Paris Police Departments and the Logan County Sheriff's Office meet together to hand our yearly awards and share a meal a together. We alternate every year on the location between Booneville and Paris. This year it was held at the Jeral L. Hampton Meeting Place in Booneville.
The Sheriff's Office yearly recipients are:
Employee of the Year: Dispatcher Jazmine House
Deputy of the Year: Investigator Chris Langston
Detention Officer of the Year: Sgt. Donald Boyd
Part-Time Deputy of the Year: Deputy Gene Kirby
Congratulations to them and to the award recipients from the Paris and Booneville Police Departments!! A big thanks to State Representative Jon Eubanks and the Logan County Deputy Sheriffs' Association for sponsoring the meal from Reid's Hometown Barbecue and for Missy Denton and the Booneville Police Department for the wonderful desserts.
